National Activities

Product and packaging stewardship in Canada today is a collection of disparate programs reflecting local conditions and unique historical roots, but at the same time, it is a national issue. Through partnerships and the strategic positioning of associates, CSR can work in jurisdictions across Canada, when requested, to provide counsel on policy development and represent the interests of members.

For more details, members can go to the For Members section.

International

CSR manages the program to protect the Green Dot trademark in North America. As part of this responsibility, CSR is an active participant in Pro Europe (Packaging Recovery Organization Europe s.p.r.l.) which is an umbrella organization of national compliance schemes responsible for the recovery and recycling of household packaging waste in Europe. Founded by the European Union (EU) member states in order to meet the European Packaging Directive, it uses the Green Dot as a symbol. By participating in PRO Europe, CSR has access to leading edge thinking on strategic, technical and market development on consumer products and packaging.
